SwiftFox vs Flash [RESOLVIDO]

Caros colegas, instalei o SwiftFox, já que minha máquina é modesta, e não sei porque o plugin flash não funciona.
Alguem pode me dar uma dica?

não funciona ou fica mandando vc atualizar o flash?

vc já tinha instalado o flash no firefox ou simplesmente instalou o swiftfox sem instalar os plugins?

Rodrigo obrigado pela resposta.
Antes eu tinha o Ubuntu, ai resolvi brincar com o slack. Agora voltei a instalar o Ubuntu 8.10. Bacana tudo funcionou direitinho, inclusive a minha placa de video. Ai de cara instalei o SwiftFox. Nem testei o Firefox. Ai quando eu entro em uma página que necessite do plugin ele fala que não esta instalado. Tentei várias coisas, mas em vão. Ai resolvi instalar aque script do Ubuntu perfeito. Ainda não vi o resultado, mas posto quando eu chegar em casa.

Você ainda está na fase de tentar istalar somente dentro do ubuntu (terminal etc..) ou já tentou baixar direto do site da adobe?

Rodrigo por dentro que você diz é via apt-get install ... essas coisas? No caso do Flash eu não fiz assim. Quando entro em um site que necessite do plugin, o navegador avisa e tenta instalar pra gente, mas ele diz que não conseguiu. Ai ele da o site http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/thankyou/?installer=Flash_Player_10_for_Linux_(.deb) Baixo e executo. Numa boa. Ai entro no site novamente pra ver se ta funcionando e nada.
Ai vi o lance do about:plugins do firefox. Eu não to vendo o plugin Adobe... isso é normal?

Boa noite pessoal.
Eu estou ficando maluco com esse problema.
Parece que esta resolvido.

Primeiro eu fui no Synaptic e procurei o Swiftfox, não achei. Procurei então o Firefox o removi. Mas o mais maluco é que ele ainda estava lá e FUNCIONANDO o Flash. 

Então instalei novamente o SwiftFox e pimba, olha o erro ai novamente...
Então eu apelei e nem sei se isso é correto:
Achei onde estão os plugins do FireFox e copiei para a parta do SwiftFox.

Outra coisa, até com o SwiftFox, para mim, ele ta comendo muito processamento.
Alguem tem mais un truque ou sabe de outro navegador?

Mais uma informação: tem momentos que o navegador, SwiftFox, ocupa 63% da CPU com apenas três abas - cara isso é demais para mim - Depois cai para 9%. Fica nessa coisa, vai e volta. Isso é chato.
