RESOLVIDO: Ajustes de brilho e contraste não funcionam.

   Olá.  Acabei de instalar o ubuntu 8.04 numa pcchips a15g tudo está ok com excessão do totem. Os controles de brilho e contraste não tem qualquer efeito. Já dei os seguintes comandos:

sudo wget http://www.medibuntu.org/sources.list.d/hardy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/medibuntu.list

wget -q http://packages.medibuntu.org/medibuntu-key.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add - && sudo apt-get update

sudo update-alternatives --config totem  escolhi o totem xine mas parece ter ficado dividido, asteristico marcando para um e sinal de + para outro.

sudo apt-get install totem-xine
sudo apt-get remove totem totem-gstreamer

ai depois desse, excluiu todo o totem.

Estranho pois no outro pc que tinha apliquei o tutorial e funcionou de primeira, e usava o totem xine.

Como fazer para usar apenas o totem xine e brilho e contraste funcionarem ? Será que tem relação com o xorg?

   Alterei a saida de video de xv para xshm e isso ativou os ajustes em questão.
