Sem som no Xubuntu 8.10

Estava usando o Kubuntu 8.10, resolvi conhecer o Xubuntu 8.10 e gostei, porem estou sem som, o que nao aconteceu no Kubuntu...

[Time Machine]

Cara não manjo muito de Linux, mas tive um problema parecido e a solução foi desativar os drivers instalados e instalar um driver do windows XP via um programa chamado "drivers de hardware" que instala drivers do windows no Ubuntu.

No meu caso funcionou perfeitamente.
