[Resolvido] Resolução monitor Samsung 732nw plus+Nvidia Geforce 6150SE

Ubuntu 8.04 - 32bits

Não consigo aumentar a resolução do monitor que é 1440x900
já tentei até o dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg e ele só configura o teclado e volta para o terminal.
pesquisei no google e não acho os modelines para o meu modelo, o mais parecido que achei é do 732nw
(sem o plus)

Não sei mais o que fazer

Devo instalar o drive proprietário da nvidia?

pronto instalado.



Para ajudar faltou energia durante atualização, agora estou entre uma versão e outra, não atualiza pelo cd nem pela internet.

Estou com muita sorte mesmo.

Mas terei persistência, a saga continua.

Resolvido.

Reinstalei, porém com um DVD 8.04- 64 bits.
Após a instalação verifiquei que já estava em aplicações outras -telas e escolhi samsung syncmaster 730 alguma coisa foi o mais próximo que apareceu e selecionei Widescreen.
