O Gimpshop é somente um GIMP com atalhos iguais aos do Photoshop.  Ajuda muito na migração, mas ainda faltam funções importantes e também simplificar alguns detalhes, para que o GIMP finalmente chegue ao degrau do software da Adobe.

Hoje trabalho com o Photoshop CS2, já esta para sair o Photoshop CS4 e em termos de recursos, o GIMP 2.6 ainda não chegou ao nível do Photoshop 7.0. :(

o gimpshop só serve para deixar os atalhos de teclado iguais ao do PS... como disse antes.. o GIMP agora chega aos pés do PS, mas falta muito para atingir a produtividade e maturidade do PS... esse lançamento mostra que estamos no caminho certo... ah.. sugiro que compilem em vez de instalar via .deb .. talvez o erro possa estar ai.. pelo o que vi na screen do Skid Vicious, as janelas não estão todas agrupadas.. o que dificulta muito...

olhe a sua barra de janelas... as janelas estão independentes como no gimp velho.. enquanto o novo GIMP deixa tudo numa janela só... veja nas screens oficiais e veja a minha screen, e repare na barra de janelas... enquanto a sua tem 5 janelas só para o GIMP, na oficial e na minha tem apenas uma.. ou seja.. algo está diferente, e esse pequena difenreça atrapalha, pelo menos a mim..

De qualquer forma, eu não gostei!  O GIMP ainda não esta prático. Vejo muita gente falando que o GIMP já esta a altura do Photoshop, mas aposto que nenhuma das pessoas que fazem este tipo de comentário, realmente usa programas de edição gráfica profissionalmente e diariamente (como eu uso).

* Só pelo fato de não poder criar pastas para alojar os layers, eu já não poderia trabalhar com o GIMP.

Deixei mais ou menos assim, apenas com a barra da esquerda mais larga, até porque conforme o que se seleciona ela abre outras opções.

eu também precisei instalar essas duas dependência, mas, como uso arch, tinha no pacman... vai no gegl.org e compila.. são dependência bem pequenas.. coisa de 300KB...

entra aqui.. ftp://ftp.gimp.org/pub/gegl/0.0/ .. pega as versões mais novas e vai pelo ./configure --prefix=/usr ... make ... sudo make install... pelo tamanho das fontes a coisa é rápida...

Compilei o BABL.
Compilei o Gimp que verificou o BABL mas sentiu falta do GEGL.
Compilei o GEGL e não acho o BABL encontrado pelo GIMP.

Não vai, baixei duas versões do gegl e nada, fica faltando uma penca de dependências.

Podiam ter feito um pacote com todas as dependências já, separado :-\

Olha o que volta, o babl foi, o gegl, não tem jeito e nessa ultima vez que tentei instalar não deu tanto erro.

Pro GEGL precisou do ./configure --prefix=/usr/local

Rapaz o que eu não curti é que quando eu fui refazer os tutoriais da Gimp Brasil, os efeitos aconteciam muito diferentes da versão 2.4

Ou eles refazem os tutoriais, ou Gimp tá com defeito.

E ainda ele tem um Bug na versão Windows: A opção de manter as janelas acima das outras só funciona no Linuxers,

eu já tinha feito pelos parametros, e dava que estava ok, mas na hora de instalar o gimp, dava erro
Agora foi, mas, eu tinha o pacote deb instalado e não vi diferença alguma, ai removi o pacote deb e refiz o processo, novamente ele ficou igual ao pacote deb, ficou a tela de ferramentas separada.

No adicionar e remover não aparece nem no synaptic? mas tá instalado.

E uma pergunta, no terminal acaba ficando limitado o que aparece, no caso fiz os 3 processos, mas só aparece a partir do sudo make install.
Como faz pra visualizar o restante que foi digitado antes, porque eu não fechei o terminal.
