k3b mkisofs error

Estou tentando gravar um cd de dados com o k3b, mas quando rodo o "burn" vem a seguinte mensagem de erro:

"mkisofs returned an unknown error (code 1)"

Parece que o K3b não tem permissão para utilizar o drive, aki logo qdo eu instalei o K3b ele já acusou esse problema e para resolver eu utilizei a opção Settings>K3b Setup (vai pedir a senha do root) , daí clica em add device para adicionar seu driver que deseja usar para gravar, clique em Amply e depois OK, renicie o K3b e tenta gravar.

Uma outra opção é gravar pelo programa nativo do Gnome, que está no nautilus, aperte Ctrl + L e digite burn:// dê um ENTER , daí é soh adicionar os arquivos

Olha, aqui nunca passei por este problema. Vou explicar o que fiz.

Sistema > Administração > Usuários e Grupos > "Selecione o usuário em questão" > Propriedades > Privilégios do Usuário

Daí marquei todas as opções disponíveis (incluindo o uso do CD-ROM).
