https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+bug/145332https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/util-linux/+bug/160450De acordo com esses dois links existe o suporte desde o 2.6.20 no 7.04 mas o ponto é que o Ubuntu DEVERIA montar automaticamente como outras distribuições as partições com a opção relatime (O Fedora 8 usa relatime em todas por exemplo) ja que ele é uma distribuição voltada para iniciantes.
ext3 partitions should be mounted with relatime/noatime for everyone to reduce unnessary disk activity,prevent useless unparking of harddisk heads for laptop users and increase performance (reading from disk or cache means writing to disk to update atime).
O que eu fiz foi colocar um patch no kernel para automaticamente fazer isso...
E isso que falta no ubuntu... E tem no Mandriva e Fedora e no Arch Linux (com zen)
