Problemas com modem dial-up no Dapper

Olá pessoal.

Recentemente adquiri um notebook HP Pavilion dv6150, e intalei o ubuntu em dual boot com o windows.

O problema é que o ubuntu não reconheceu meu modem dial-up que, segundo o Windows é um HDAudio Softdata Faxmodem with SmartCP. Rodei um lspci, que me retornou isso:

Como podem notar, segundo o Ubuntu, o modem não existe! E a placa wireless não foi detectada corretamente. Será que com as versões mais recentes o problema está resolvido? Alguém sabe como resolver no Dapper?

PS: Tentei um lspci | grep Communication e não retornou nada.
