Adicionar repositórios non free e contrib no Ubuntu 13.10

Olá pessoal essa é a minha primeira participação no fórum, fiquei muito feliz em saber que existe um fórum específico para nós usuários do sistema Gnu/Linux mais particulamente o Ubuntu. Estive lendo sobre o sistema e verifiquei que o sistema fornece apenas o programas tipo software livre (que compartilha o código fonte e etc..) e que existe outros programas para linux que podem pertencer nos repositórios que sã chamados de contrib e non free.

A minha pergunta é como adicionar esses programas no repositórios? eu acessei como root o sources.list e do lado do man eu coloquei o contrib e non free na tentativa de aumentar meu repositório, porém quando dei o apt-get update veio várias mensagens de erro.
Como eu faço para ter acesso? obrigado!

Digite no terminal:

software-properties-gtk

Então na aba "Outros programas", marque as duas opções de "Parceiros da Canonical".

olá boa tarde!

estou aqui para pedir ajuda com um erro "E: Linha mal formada 70 no arquivo de fontes /etc/apt/sources.list ; E: lista de origem não pode ser lida onfigure as opções de repositórios para corrigir o problema; E: _cache->open()failed,please report." que houve quando tentei adicionar repositórios na sources.list

Abrirá Canais de software > aba outros programas > desmarque as PPAs relacionadas as 4 últimas linhas da sources.list

Feche e atualize novamente

sudo apt-get update
