Instalação do driver USB Wireless (RTL8188C_8192C)

Boa noite galera, comprei um adaptador wireless USB da China e estou tentando instalá-lo, mas não tá rolando (Até tava na esperança do Linux reconhecer e instalar automaticamente, rs). Abaixo estão os erros mostrados no terminal (Inibi alguns trechos que passaram OK, apenas pra não ficar muito extenso). O pacote de instalação é RTL8188C_8192C da versão v4.0.2_9000 (Data: 11/09/2013) e possui um install.sh (Que tive que dar maior privilégio de execução pelo terminal).

Li uma recomendação na internet para executar o comando abaixo, reiniciar o pc e tentar novamente, mas mesmo assim, nada:
sudo apt-get --purge autoremove linux-firmware-nonfree && sudo apt-get install linux-firmware-nonfree

O que faz exatamente a instalação de linux-firmware-nonfree? Incluir uma lista maior de periféricos suportados no Ubuntu? Seria isso?

Alguém já teve problema com este adaptador? Estou usando o Ubuntu 14.04.1 (Kernel: 3.13.0-33-generic). Se alguém puder me auxiliar, agradeço, rs!

Pergunta, antes de tentar a instalação do driver proprietário, tentou usar o driver nativo?
Pesquise antes de perguntar, sua dúvida pode já ter sido respondida.
Não respondo dúvidas por MP, coloque sua dúvida no fórum onde ela pode ser pesquisada pelos seus colegas!
Não venha ao fórum apenas para perguntar. Se você sabe a resposta de um problema, porque não ajudar seu colega? ;D

Driver nativo seria driver padrão do Ubuntu? Então, eu usei o próprio CD de instalação que acompanha o adaptador (Veio junto). Instalei no  Windows 7 agora há pouco e funcionou bem, apenas pra certificar que o adaptador esteja funcionando, agora vou tentar descobrir o que ocorre no Ubuntu.

lsusb

Para ver se ele foi reconhecido pelo Ubuntu.

Se sim, vai no gerenciador de conexões e tenta realizar a configuração no Ubuntu da sua rede sem fio normalmente...

Eu consigo configurar manualmente? Via terminal ou via nm-connection-editor (Abri ele via menu gráfico)?
Pelo o nm-connection-editor aparecem os seguintes campos na aba Wifi:

SSID = Nome_Minha_Rede_Wireless
Modo = infraestrutura
BSSID = vazio (O que seria?)
Endereço MAC do dispositivo = vazio (Seria o MAC Address do adaptador?)
Endereço MAC clonado = vazio
MTU = automático

Driver nativo seria driver padrão do Ubuntu? Então, eu usei o próprio CD de instalação que acompanha o adaptador (Veio junto). Instalei no  Windows 7 agora há pouco e funcionou bem, apenas pra certificar que o adaptador esteja funcionando, agora vou tentar descobrir o que ocorre no Ubuntu.

Driver nativo é o que vem junto com o Kernel. Normalmente não é preciso usar nenhum cd de instalação no Linux.

Pelo o nm-connection-editor aparecem os seguintes campos na aba Wifi:

SSID = Nome_Minha_Rede_Wireless
Modo = infraestrutura
BSSID = vazio (O que seria?)
Endereço MAC do dispositivo = vazio (Seria o MAC Address do adaptador?)
Endereço MAC clonado = vazio
MTU = automático

Ok, criei a interface de rede Wifi com os dados da minha rede wireless (Conforme descrevi antes, com aqueles campos). Tirei o cabo de rede pra ver se iria funcionar o wifi, e funcionou bem, bacana... A gente só fica perdido com relação ao que está vigorando no momento, tipo, não apareceu nada no meu Ubuntu, quando alternei as duas conexões (Cabo e wifi)...

Existe algum gerenciador gráfico de redes wifi no estilo do Windows, que eu possa evocar? Ou tenho fazer isso manualmente via terminal? rs Obrigado pelo ajuda, abs...
