WebCam nao funciona

Olá, estou com um problema no ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Instalei-o em um notebook Samsung RV-419 e não está detectando a webcam. Como faço pra resolver?

Estou com o mesmo problema!!! :-(
Porém o meu notebook é um Itautec Infoway w7655. Funcionava bem no 11.04
Já abaixei manual do fabricante (que só tem instrução para Windows, mesmo vindo o librix instalado.)
Acho que vou ter que instalar o 11.04 em uma VM que pegue webcam para ver os módulos que terá diferente daqui

O meu também não funciona nem a webcam nem o bluetooth, ele é um HP Pavillion DV1680us.
Esse tal de cheese não adiantou em nada.

O cheese é só um programa que grava, tira foto e testa webcam. O que pode acontecer é ele trazer algum biblioteca ou complemente que ajude, mas o objetivo dele é simplesmente usar a webcam

Boa tarde. Meu note é um Samsung RV-410. A webcam funcionava no 11.04, 11.10 e no começo no 12.04. Agora nenhum programa de video a detecta. Não sei se é bug, fallha física. Segue os dados do terminal:

No meu caso, a luzinha da webcam fica acesa, mas quando abro os programas "cheese" e "camorama", eles dão erro e fecham sozinhos.
