alarcon seu trabalho realmente é incrível estou querendo parar para estudar e entender o funcionamento do Ubuntu já a bastante tempo, mas com a faculdade fica difícil  então os seus vídeos facilitam muito pois posso vê-los e aprender mais facilmente. Obrigado.
Mas com minha professora de história do direito diz "Tem algo errado no reino da Dinamarca', pois estou tentando instalar o vlc-1.1.10 porque a versão anterior esta dando muitos bugs e no site do programa é recomendado a instalação da versão mais atual para corrigir estes problemas.
Estou seguindo tudo o que você diz na vídeo aula, mas quando chega nesta parte de instalação aparece um erro que eu não sei como corrigir por isso estou te pedindo ajuda.

Desculpe a demora, mas estava afastado do fórum e só agora vi sua mensagem.



Antes de usar o configure você usou estes comandos no terminal:

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get build-dep vlc


Se usou tente esse outro aqui:

sudo apt-get install lua5.1 libxcb-shm0-dev libxcb-xv0-dev libx11-xcb-dev

e depois o configure e se falhar então procure no google por algo com: luac e vlc

Pelo que vejo o configure falhou por conta deste luac que pelo que é mostrado aqui:

não faz parte do pacote lua do Ubuntu. O grande problema de compilar .tar.gz é esse dependências que muitas vezes em outras distros tem outro nome e saber qual é o que está falta é que mata.

Eu instalei usando um repositório PPA.
Adicione o PPA com o comando:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:n-muench/vlc
Atualize com:
sudo apt-get update
Depois instale com:
sudo apt-get install vlc mozilla-plugin-vlc vlc-plugin-pulse
Creio que resolverá seus problemas, inclusive dependências.

Rapaz, vou fazer uma pergunta um tanto off ...

Dei uma fuçada aqui e achei um frontend para o espeak que já vem instalado por padrão no Ubuntu. É o Gspeaker e está disponível no Synaptic.
O problema é que mesmo usando uma voz para PT-BR e fazendo algumas alterações de pitch, volume e velocidade, a qualidade fica bem sofrível.

As suas gravações ficaram legais com essa locução.
Qual aplicativo TTS você usou?
Pelo o jeito ele tem PT-BR ... mas é gratuito? Roda apenas por terminal? 

No ubuntu tem: Mbrola,eSpeak,Gespeaker

Como você pode constatar, ainda muito robotizada ou num português falado por um estrangeiro.

Então procurei por algo online e achei, portanto procure por: TTS (text-to-speech) e online no google. Depois que eu encontrar o link, se vc ainda não tiver encontrado, te envio por mp.

Só um adendo o espeak vem instalado por padrão, já o mbrola(e as vozes mbrola-br1 e mbrola-br3) e o gespeaker voce instala pelo synaptic.
E existe uma extensão para OpenOffice e LibreOffice chamada ReadText escrita em pyhton.

alarcon seu trabalho realmente é incrível estou querendo parar para estudar e entender o funcionamento do Ubuntu já a bastante tempo, mas com a faculdade fica difícil  então os seus vídeos facilitam muito pois posso vê-los e aprender mais facilmente. Obrigado.
Mas com minha professora de história do direito diz "Tem algo errado no reino da Dinamarca', pois estou tentando instalar o vlc-1.1.10 porque a versão anterior esta dando muitos bugs e no site do programa é recomendado a instalação da versão mais atual para corrigir estes problemas.
Estou seguindo tudo o que você diz na vídeo aula, mas quando chega nesta parte de instalação aparece um erro que eu não sei como corrigir por isso estou te pedindo ajuda.

Desculpe a demora, mas estava afastado do fórum e só agora vi sua mensagem.

Antes de usar o configure você usou estes comandos no terminal:

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get build-dep vlc
Se usou tente esse outro aqui:

e depois o configure e se falhar então procure no google por algo com: luac e vlc

Pelo que vejo o configure falhou por conta deste luac que pelo que é mostrado aqui:

não faz parte do pacote lua do Ubuntu. O grande problema de compilar .tar.gz é esse dependências que muitas vezes em outras distros tem outro nome e saber qual é o que está falta é que mata.
