mp4 Foston FS66 2GB : Ubuntu não reconhece. Como resolver ?

Quando ligo o USB o MP4 liga normalmente. O problema é que não aparece a mídia no desktop para que eu possa acessar.

Aguardo pela ajuda de vocês.

Por favor altere o título do seu post para letras minúsculas pois o mesmo será trancado ficando como está.

Verifique no se mp4 se ele tem alguma opção para transferencia de arquivos.

Quando conectar seu mp4, digite em terminal
Citarsudo lsusb
e depois
Citarsudo dmesg
Anote o resultado referente ao seu mp4 e poste aqui.

Isto vai facilitar muito ajudá-lo.

Como se pode ver pelo resultado de lsusb e
dmesg, seu mp4 foi identificado e reconhecido como sdb1.

O que ele não foi é montado.

Isto pode ter acontecido por duas razões:

1) Ele foi desconectado inesperadamente e  o windows ou o linux marcou a partição como "suja".

Se voce tiver uma máquina com windows à mão, faça um chkdsk /r nele ou scandisk, se só tiver o Linux Um sudo cfdisk /etc/sdb também resolve, mas neste caso cuidado para não apagar o conteúdo do seu mp4.


2) A partição está com propriedades de acesso apenas pelo administrador(root)

Aqui neste caso basta trocar as permissões de acesso para seu usuário com sudo chmod 777 -r /dev/sd1.

Além destes dois fatos mais comuns, existem outros, dentre eles um mal gerenciamento na detecção pelo módulo hal o que resultaria em ter que editar o seu fstab ou mesmo o hal, isto assumindo que seu mp4 e o respectivo cabo usb estejam em ordem.

mas deixe isto prá la e vamos nos concentrar na primeira. Depois veremos às outras.

Isto faz voce pelo menos ver que seu disto está lá.

Se voce tiver o 8.04 ou 8.10 instale o qtparted que ele faz isto para voce em modo grafico o que fica mais facil.( tem até um scandisk nele )

Se quiser ver se como root voce monta o disco,
Citarsudo nautilus
e procure ele na pasta media, clique com o botão direito e peça para montar ( isto no caso da partição estar limpa )

vamos lá,

Como voce viu, o Linux não está reconhecendo uma partição Fat32 ou  16, padrão nos tocadores de mp3.

Então o mais prudente para voce não perder seus dados é plugar ele numa máquina com windows e passar um scandisk como falei no inicio.

Isto pode ser feito no Linux pelo pacote qtparted encontrado víia synaptic, porém sempre tenha em mente que partições Fat do windows são  problema no Linux, pois não  são nativas do sistema.

Alternativamente voce pode "forçar" a montagem do volume  com o comando mount.

Para agilizar, visto as respostas e réplicas via posts demorarem, de uma pesquisada aquí no forum por mount

Eu não estou no Linux agora, mas como exemplo apenas seu comando ficaria mais ou menos assim:
Citarmount -t -force /dev/sdb1 /media 
veja no forum a sintaxe correta.

Lembre que a chave -force pode corromper dados em partições Fat.

Como seu mp4 foi reconhecido e identificado é só uma questão de montar o mp4.

4. Feito isso, aparece na Área de Trabalho o ícone Mídia de 2.0 GB.

Acontece que quando eu clico no ícone, abre-se a pasta contendo apenas uma pasta chamada Lost+Found. Então eu vou lá no Painel superior da Área de Trabalho, clico em Locais, seleciono Músicas, selecionou uma pasta qualquer com meus arquivos e arrasto para a pasta do mp4. Aparece a mensagem : Erro ao copiar, A pasta "Michael Schenker" não pode ser copiada porque você não tem permissões para criá-la no destino.

Tenho de estudar mais Linux, e por isso to aqui trocando idéias com você ! :D

O que acontece de diferente é que no mp4 ( que é o que está problemático ), ao clicar na pasta LOST+FOUND, eu vejo que as PERMISSÕES estão todas em ROOT. E ainda dá a mensagem : "Você não é o proprietário, logo você não pode alterar estas permissões."

No mp3, que deu certo de abrir os arquivos, as permissões estão todas no meu usuário comum, que pode ler e escrever normalmente.

Será que é isso então que tá me atrapalhando ? Como faço pra alterar as permissões de acesso ???

chmod ? chown ?

Como voce pode ver Linux não é assim um bicho tão hermetico, ao contrario.

Vai em:

terminal=> sudo su=> chmod 666 -r /dev/sdb1 (novamente da uma checada aquí no forum por pen drive para checar a sintaxe)  [Ó maldito smartfone que me faz ficar longe do meu laptop ]

Seu problema apenas foi ter formatado em ext3 se algum dia precisar usar ele como pendrive no windows.Mas ai é só formatar em Fat.

Verifique no se mp4 se ele tem alguma opção para transferencia de arquivos.

Quando conectar seu mp4, digite em terminal
Citarsudo lsusb
e depois
Citarsudo dmesg
Anote o resultado referente ao seu mp4 e poste aqui.

Isto vai facilitar muito ajudá-lo.

Bem gente! Pergunta de aspirante a aspirante: Meu ubuntu não reconhece nenhum pendrive espetado nem mp4. Não dá o menor sinal.
Alguém pode me orientar passo-a-passo. ???
